We welcome you to this site, as we grow and develop the vision of the First Peace.  This reference to the First Peace comes from a quote from Black Elk, Oglala Sioux, in which he states “The First Peace is that which comes from within the souls of people when they realize their relationship, their oneness, with the universe and all its powers….” (read the full quote)

Realizing our oneness with the universe is at the heart of the vision of the Discipline of Peace.  When we open our understanding to this truth, peace in the self can become a reality.  This living of peace in the self is a vital step for all of us, for each of us.

In this time in which we live, we see the very necessary and vital need for humanity to take another step toward creating not only peace in each of us, but peace among us.  Collaborating with each other, learning from each other and celebrating our many wisdom ways are essential parts of the World Foundation of the Discipline of Peace’s vision.

This World Foundation is committed to thoughtful organic growth and sustainable development.  During the first year of growth, the World Foundation will focus on fundraising, curricula development and creating the infrastructure to support the vision. To read more about this vision click here.
